“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A 4×4. This jeep is almost complete original, including the motor, transmission, transfer case, and axles. This is a cool little toy, or a great start on a restoration project. It runs like a sewing machine, and will climb, go through or go around anything. It is 64 years old and in good condition for its age. Must take a ride to appreciate. “1946 willys cj2a with V6 buick motor. All stock running gear with WARN OD and hubs. Chevy steering box and column Needs lights hooked up and carb work. Motor runs great, just hesitates on acceleration. Soft top, great roll bar, deep tread on tires. Registered NON op presently. 209-613 -9727=llItrade VW baja, Sandrail, VW buggy, other vehicles possible but must be pre smog.”

(05/18/2011) This is listed as a 1948 CJ-2A, but it has a DJ-3A bumper and body at the very least. It might be on a CJ-2A frame, as it does have 4wd.

“I have a 1948 Willy’s that I am forced to part with after putting lots of effort into it. The VIN plate is good and therefore easily titled. I can provide a Bill of Sale.

The front and rear end were totally rebuilt with new gears, seals and bearings. The engine runs strong after a tune up, and newly rehabbed starter. All cylinders have good compression. Clutch is functions enough to move the Jeep around the yard as you can see. So considered it drivable enough to get it up on a trailer under its own power.

The body is the problem. Not shown is the hood in standard condition. The center seam needs work. But the hood is included. The floors are gone.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

Check out the the bulges in the entry points on both the passenger and driver’s sides. Somehow the body or entire frame & body have been bent down in the center. Add to this strange issue is the claim this rig only has 17k miles or so. Then there are the modified steps and modified gas tank inlet. I’d run the other direction on this one.

(06/22/2011)This has the expanded windshield modification.

“This is a 1947 Jeep with 283 1957 chevy engine 4 barrel Holy carb w/ Holly intake manifold all Mallory ignition w/Optimun battery, w/new lock outs, body repainted in 2010,US Marine Corps theme W/Decals Related to the Corps. Engine to the best of my knowlage has been rebuilt. All it needs is valve cover gaskets that I didn’t get put on yet. Has new 4 pt seat belts in it. Newly powered coated roll bar, dual mufflers with alum steps on each side, chrome grill. Just put on Aluminum wheels. Tires are 33in super swampers. LED brake lights (new also) and has new turn signals. Replaced both rear axles in winter of 2011. Very good comfortable seats. Spare tire is brand new, Front disc brakes. Also with winch.. Has two milatary gas cans mounted on rear not shown. When I first bought it I couldn’t find serial no. Took it to level (1) inspection and had a new number assigned to it. Every thing about registration was a real hassel but got it done. Have title and regestration. This Jeep is fun and will go anywhere you want to go and licenced for the street.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000. The seller claims this is all original, which isn’t true (hood bumps, front bumper, rear mounted tire, windshield … just for starters).

I think this has a fiberglass body. To me, the rim around the edge looks wider than normal.
